Alvin C. Jacobs, Jr.

Alvin C. Jacobs, Jr., is a photographer and image activist known for his photography of social justice movements. He was named a 2018 Charlottean of the Year by Charlotte Magazine.

 
 

Nipun Mehta

Nipun Mehta is the founder of ServiceSpace.org, an incubator of projects that support a gift culture. His mission in life is to “bring smiles in the world and stillness in my heart.” Through his work in social change, Nipun was recognized by the Dalai Lama as an “Unsung Hero of Compassion.”

 

Cristo Armando Carrasco Mendoza

Cristo Armando Carrasco Mendoza is a student at Wingate University, a Mexican immigrant, and the founder of DreamersNC, a community organization that provides resources for DACA students pursuing higher education.

 

Grayson Sword

Grayson Sword is a 17-year-old high school senior and open heart surgery survivor who will speak about transforming mental, physical, and emotional pain into healing.
